Airport industry veteran Christina Madsen has joined Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) as its new aviation properties and contracts manager, overseeing concessions, airfield aeronautical business, commercial property development and lease administration.
“Mrs. Madsen brings years of valuable experience in aviation, real estate and business development,” says Asheville Regional Airport Director Lew Bleiweis. “This is a brand new position for the organization and she will be an instrumental part of the Authority team as we continue to expand and enhance airport facilities and services to accommodate for record-breaking growth.”
Madsen joins the North Carolina airport from Phoenix Sky Harbor International (PHX), where she was deputy aviation director for business and properties. During her more than 30-year career, Madsen also worked at Portland International (PDX) and Salt Lake City International (SLC) airports.
