Starting Jan. 11, Chris Madsen will join Phoenix Sky Harbor International (PHX) as its new deputy aviation director for business and properties.
In her new role, Madsen will head the business and properties division, which manages business and real estate for the City of Phoenix Aviation Department. The department oversees PHX, Phoenix Deer Valley (DVT) and Phoenix Goodyear (GYR). Madsen will supervise the leasing of four million square feet of facilities and airport leasing, negotiate and manage agreements with 1,600 tenants and handle parking operations.
“We look forward to welcoming Chris to the team,” says Jim Bennett, director of aviation services for the City of Phoenix. “Her extensive aviation and business experience combined with her leadership skills will be great assets to our airport system, especially as we embark on a new retail program at Terminal 4 and modernize Terminal 3.”
Madsen most recently worked as director of operations for a consulting firm that specializes in concessions planning and financial analysis. Before that, she held leadership positions in the aviation departments of the Port of Portland and Salt Lake City Corporation.
