Massport is urging travelers to “Question the Authority.”
The new Web-based, real-time live chat allows users to ask anything related to the Massachusetts Port Authority. Thomas J. Kinton Jr., the CEO and executive director of Massport, will be answering the first set of questions on Sept. 23, from 12 to 1 p.m.
“I am looking forward to engaging with our customers and neighbors, to learn more about what’s on their minds and answer any questions they may have,” says Kinton. “This is a way for us, in the interests of open and responsive government, to connect with people who use our facilities, are impacted by them or simply want to know more about the authority, which is an economic engine for the region and uses no state tax money for its operations or capital improvements.”
Users may log on to massport.com at noon and ask their questions. They may also be e-mailed in advance to [email protected], with Question the Authority in the subject line, or via facebook.com/bostonlogan or twitter.com/bostonlogan using the hashtag #QTAchat.
Future sessions will be hosted by employees, board members and transportation guests.
