To ensure travelers receive good customer service as passenger traffic continues to grow, Orlando International (MCO) has implemented various new technologies to provide important information and expedite travel.
The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority website has been revamped to be more user friendly and include a responsive design that reconfigures to whatever device the site is being viewed on. Resources like better wayfinding maps and slideshows and concessions information can also be found on the new site.
MCO also has created a digital radio station that broadcasts airport information, travel updates, community news and entertainment 24/7. FlyMCO 105.1HD2 is free on HD radios in 11 counties in Central Florida. The CBS-affiliated station also can be streamed through MCO’s website, mobile app and the radio.com app.
Finally, apps additions and updates are assisting travelers at MCO. The Mobile Passport Control app is now at the airport and allows eligible travelers to submit their passport information and customs declaration form to U.S. Customs and Border Protection through their mobile devices prior to arrival. MCO has also improved its own app, adding features like access to the radio station, navigation beacon installation and updates on concessions.
“Orlando International Airport is committed to enhancing the international customer arrival experience,” says Phil Brown, GOAA executive director. “The introduction of innovative technology to further expedite international processing while not compromising security is good for our passengers and our community.”
