The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) Board this week approved the awarding of a new common use lounge contract for Orlando International Airport (MCO) new South Terminal C to Trip Hospitality Orlando, while also voting to resume COVID-19 vaccinations at the airport.
Trip Hospitality Orlando had been recommended by the GOAA Concessions/Procurement Committee after receiving the highest ranking among five proposal bids.
Trip Hospitality Orlando will operate and maintain the more than 9,300-square-foot space in the South Terminal’s airside hub. The term of the concession is 10 years and will commence when the new Terminal C opens to the public.
GOAA also approved the return this week of a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in the MCO Main Terminal. The previous, state-run clinic at the airport closed in late July. GOAA will partner with Walmart to continue the airport’s vaccination effort.
The clinic, which will only offer the Pfizer vaccine, is located on the B side of the Hyatt Atrium across from the security checkpoint for Gates 70-129.
