MCO Awards Food Court Contract To Villa Enterprises

Villa Enterprises, a New Jersey-based restaurant operator and franchisor, has been awarded a 10-year contract in the Orlando International (MCO) Airside 2 food court.

“We are ecstatic to have been awarded the opportunity to help recreate the dining experience in Airside 2 at Orlando International,” says Chris McNamee, business development manager at Villa Enterprises. “The design concept was created to give the food hall a comfortable, outdoor patio feel with a uniquely Orlando sense of place while the expanded brand lineup was carefully chosen to maximize the potential of the space and to offer a host of high quality dining options to the Airside 2 traveler.”

The Food Hall by Villa at MCO will be more than 11,100 square feet and feature proprietary concepts Villa Italian Kitchen, Green Leaf’s & Bananas, and The Market by Villa; there also will be three partner brands: Jersey Mike’s Subs, Asian Chao Oriental Eatery and Chipotle. All of them are new to the airport.

“Orlando International Airport is always looking to offer premier amenities to our customers,” says Phil Brown, executive director of the greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “The brand lineup offered by Villa Enterprises will enhance Airside 2 with a fresh, new design concept and more options to meet a greater variety of tastes.”

Construction is set to begin in October, with a planned February opening. The Food Hall by Villa is part of the airport’s more than $1 billion expansion and is expected to bring in more than $150 million in revenues over the life of the contract.
