MCO Opens New North Cell Phone Lot

Drivers through Orlando International (MCO) have a new place to wait while picking up arriving passengers.

The North Cell Phone Lot, located north of the Main Terminal on Jeff Fuqua Boulevard, has 200 parking spaces, free Wi-Fi, monitors with flight information, electrical access, restrooms, a pet-relief area with waste-bag dispensers, a retention pond, and access to Terminals A and B.

“We want the travel experience at Orlando International Airport to be as stress-free as possible for all of our customers,” says Frank Kruppenbacher, chairman of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “We hope this new state-of-the-art facility will exceed their demands by reducing or eliminating circling time while waiting for passengers to arrive.”

The facility is part of MCO’s $1.1 billion capital improvement program, which also includes new terminal ticket lobbies, enhancements to the baggage system, a South Airport Automated People Mover complex and Intermodal Terminal Facility.
