Orlando International Airport (MCO) this week hosted an event where businesses met with the rental car companies operating at the airport that are looking for local suppliers to provide them with goods and services, including everything from key fobs and tires to detailing, cleaning supplies and fleet maintenance.
The Small Business Department of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority facilitated a matchmaker event between Enterprise, Alamo, National, Sixt, Avis, Budget, Payless, Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty rental car companies and any local small business that expressed an interest in the opportunity to provide goods or services for the rental car companies.
MCO’s Rental Car companies spend more than $100 million annually on goods and services for their airport operations.
“Assisting in the connection of two vital parts of our local economy, rental car companies and local small businesses, is a great opportunity for all involved to share in potential economic gains in our community,” said Yovannie Rodriguez, chief administrative officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, operator of MCO.
