MCO Touts Local, National Brands in New Terminal C

Orlando International Airport (MCO) said this week that the new Terminal C set to open later this year will feature a combination of local flavors and national brands aimed at delivering an engaging experience for both international and domestic travelers.

With the traveling public in mind, 93 percent of the concessions in Terminal C will be located beyond the security checkpoints, with the remaining offerings located pre-security. This was done intentionally to enhance the customer experience and ensure options for those flying in and out of MCO.

Terminal C will offer more than 24 food and beverage options, including local and national brands such as Eola Market; Shake Shack; Harvest & Grounds; Summer House Orlando; Greenbeat; Desano Pizzeria; Main Street Market with Einstein Bros. Bagels; and Replenish with Illy Coffee. The offerings will also include popular traveler favorites like Starbucks, Chick Fil-A, Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon.

Other local brands include Barnie’s Coffee & Tea Co.; Wine Bar George; Orange County Brewers; Provisions by Cask & Larder; PGA Tour Grill; Raw Juice; Cucina & Co.; Olde Hearth Bread Co.; Cask & Larder Public House; Orlando Brewing Bar & Bites; and Sunshine Diner by Chef Art Smith.

The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA), which operates MCO, confirmed that Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) participation for Terminal C exceeds overall airport goals, with at least 30 percent participation.

“Our dynamic concessions program for the new terminal features everything the modern traveler could want in the way of eating, drinking and shopping during their trip through Florida’s busiest airport,” said Yovannie Rodriguez, GOAA chief administrative officer. “With more than 80,000 square feet of concession space, we were able to bring concepts to life in a way that meets the diverse needs of passenger demand and continues our delivery of the Orlando experience.”

Terminal C retail options will include themed shopping experiences from Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando, featuring unique, direct access to the best souvenirs only available in Orlando.

Other shopping options include innovative newsstand and gift shop options like The Scoop, Gatlin Trade, Sunglass Hut and Brighton. The all-new City Arts Market will bring the Orlando art scene to the traveling public by featuring products created by local artists.

“At every turn, Terminal C guests will be able to experience a variety of amazing shopping and dining offerings that are unique to Orlando while also enjoying the regional and national brands that they know and love,” said Tracy Conner-Harris, GOAA assistant director of Concessions.

Terminal C will also have a Plaza Premium Lounge located on the second floor of the Palm Court area, featuring a dedicated area for families, a restaurant and bar, and quiet spaces where business travelers can be productive.
