Kevin Thibault, director of Orlando International Airport (MCO) has issued his resignation to the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority Board. He will remain in the director role until January 31, 2025.
GOAA Board Chairman Tim Weisheyer made the announcement at a board meeting today.
In the announcement that Weisheyer read, Thibault explained that his wife had been diagnosed with an illness and he needed to focus his energies on her in the years ahead, according to Angela Starke, senior vice president, public affairs and community relations for MCO. She said the chairman expressed his concern about the progression of Ms. Thibault’s illness and also his disappointment that Director Thibault’s tenure would end soon.
Thibault took over as director at MCO in spring 2022, replacing long time executive Phil Brown, who retired.
