The Chicago Department of Aviation announced Monday that Midway International (MDW) has opened a yoga room and a Mother’s Room in Concourse C.
“We believe these rooms will help elevate the travel experience at Midway,” says Rosemarie Andolino, commissioner of aviation.
The yoga room has a bamboo wood floor, floor-to-ceiling mirrors on one wall, exercise mats and an area to place personal articles and garments. A wall-mounted monitor displays exercise techniques and nature images and plays soothing sounds. The Mother’s Room provides a tranquil location for breastfeeding in private.
The department opened a yoga room at O’Hare International (ORD) in December.
