Travelers going through Miami International (MIA) can give spare change to help pets and parks.
The program features specially marked donation receptacles near the North and South Terminal international arrival facilities; they are in North Terminal D on the second level near currency exchange and in the South Terminal J third level international greeters lobby.
The money collected from the donation boxes will go to the Animal Services Department to help provide free spaying and neutering services for dogs and cats, and to the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department to aid public parks.
