Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) announced this week that it has partnered with Security Point Media to introduce Microban technology to bins used by TSA at security checkpoints.
The Microban technology now on Security Point Media bins at SJC check points inhibits the growth of bacteria on the surface 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
That provides an added level of 100 percent antimicrobial protection for travelers who use the bins to put laptops, electronics, coats and other personal items through TSA scanners.
Secure Point Media’s SecureTray System with Microban also keeps airport trays cleaner for longer, reducing work for airport staff.
