MNAA Announces New Leadership, Promotions At BNA And JWN

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) has announced several newly appointed leadership positions and one promotion at Nashville International Airport (BNA) and John C. Tune Airport (JWN).

BNA has appointed John Cooper as MNAA’s chief administrative officer. A retired U.S. Army Colonel, Cooper has over three decades of human resources experience, having recently served as a senior foreign nation advisor as well as director of HR and recruiting for a government contractor managing comprehensive HR support and high-level security clearances. Joining Cooper will be Syed Mehdi, who has been appointed vice president of airport planning and strategic planning. Mehdi has 27 years of industry experience and previously led the development of an asset management division at San Antonio International Airport (SAT). Fellow industry veteran Puneet Vedi will serve as MNAA’s new vice president of airport capital development, having previously worked as director of project delivery and architect with the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), where he led the team responsible for the design, construction and implementation of a seven-year capital improvement plan at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and six surrounding reliever airports. Matthew Earnhardt has been appointed assistant vice president of operations at MNAA, after previously serving as the senior associate dean of academics and operations at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Prior to his tenure at Embry-Riddle, Earnhardt worked at Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Navy. MNAA also announced the promotion of one of its current leaders, Adam Wolf, who assumed the position of assistant vice president and JWN airport manager on July 13. Wolf previously served as the assistant director of airside operations at MNAA.

“As Nashville, BNA and JWN continue their remarkable growth trajectory, it’s crucial we have a leadership team that reflects both established expertise and innovative thinking,” said Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of MNAA. “This talented group will ensure we continue to deliver a world-class experience for passengers while navigating the exciting future for both of our airports.”
