Davita Brown has been promoted to director of the Office of Business Diversity Development for the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority.
She joined the airport authority in 2008 and has served as the department’s interim director since February.
“Davita displayed exceptional leadership, drive and management skills during her time as the interim director for our Office of Business Diversity Development, qualities that made her the right choice to excel in the director position,” says Raul Regalado, MNAA president and CEO. “By helping Middle Tennessee small, minority- and woman-owned businesses to partner with the airport, Davita and her team are creating an excellent Nashville Airports Experience for our passengers, business partners and employees.”
Before joining the MNAA, Brown was lead compliance specialist for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Middle Tennessee State University and a master’s of science degree from Austin Peay State University. She is a certified Master Compliance Administrator and a member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, and she is president of the Middle Tennessee Public Purchasing Association.
