As part of San Francisco International’s (SFO) International Terminal refresh, SSP America has been awarded two contracts – one for a casual sit-down restaurant and one for a quick-casual concept.
The sit-down restaurant will be 1300 on Fillmore, which is a local concept by Chef David Lawrence. It serves classic Southern cuisine. Dishes include Fresh Water Shrimp Hushpuppies, Barbeque Shrimp N’ Grits and Black Skillet Fried Chicken. The airport location will be post-security, near Boarding Area G.
“Collaborating with SSP America has provided us a unique opportunity to touch millions of people’s hearts with food,” says Monetta White, 1300 on Fillmore owner. “We’re excited to show SFO and the world the best that today’s Southern-style American cuisine has to offer. We can’t wait for opening day.”
The quick-casual concept will be Wendy’s. It’ll be pre-security in Boarding Area A. It will serve the brand’s square burger patties, chicken and pork sandwich offerings, wraps, French fries, salads and its signature Frosty.
“With San Francisco International’s significant 33-percent growth rate in recent years and 2015 seeing a record-breaking 50 million passengers, the sky is this gateway’s only limit,” says Michael Svagdis, CEO of SSP America. “SSP America is honored to be bringing world-class brands that will continue to grow with SFO and meet every passenger’s needs. We look forward to further developing our partnership at San Francisco International, as well as the Bay Area community.”
