MRG Opens sodoPOP at SEA

The Marshall Retail Group (MRG), a WHSmith company, this week announced the opening of sodoPOP at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to provide airport passengers with the chance to buy trendy collectables, Seattle sports memorabilia and other regionally-themed gifts.

SodoPOP was created in collaboration with Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) and the collectable conglomerate Funko. Inside the store, travelers will find a large assortment of offbeat and interesting items, including Funko brands like POP!, Paka Paka and Loungefly, as well as band t-shirts and albums.

Located in SEA’s N Concourse, sodoPOP, MRG’s company first store at the airport, also features a guitar wall, a 4-foot-tall Freddy Funko figure and a statue of the Space Needle to greet guests as they enter.

“It was such a privilege for our teams to create and develop the concept behind sodoPOP in partnership with MoPOP and the SEA Airport”, said Toby Keir, MRG CEO.  “We pride ourselves on our ability to truly create concepts inspired by their location and source local brands and products to offer our customers. sodoPOP is an example of our ongoing commitment to elevating the traveler’s experience.”
