MSP introduces Airport Walking Program

Minneapolis-St. Paul International (MSP), in conjunction with the American Heart Association (AHA), has brought the organization’s Start! Walking program to the airport.

MSP officials established a 1.4 mile Start! Walking route in the Lindbergh Terminal. Walkers start at Gate C1 in the C concourse, cross the Concourse Skyway Connector, and travel down Concourse G and through the main shopping and dining corridor.

As an incentive to walkers, MSP teamed with Eagan, MN-based Northwest Airlines to start a passenger walking contest that runs through mid-September. The traveler with the most recorded steps, which will be recorded via a pedometer, wins a round-trip ticket anywhere the airline flies in the continental US.
