MSP Uses Social Networking Sites To Keep Travelers Informed

In an effort to reach out to more customers, employees and neighbors of Minneapolis-St. Paul International (MSP), the airport has launched its own Facebook page.

The page – www.facebook.com/mspairport – will give users easy access to the most current airport news and information, as well as information about special offers on dining and shopping, upcoming events, art displays and musical performances.

The airport also sends updates via Twitter, www.twitter.com/mspairport.

 “Social media is another avenue for us to communicate with our customers about airport amenities and services, as well as to keep them informed of changes at MSP that could impact their trip,” says Jeff Hamiel, Metropolitan Airports Commission executive director. “By using two of the most popular social media sites, Facebook and Twitter, we can reach our customers where they spend their time.”
