Houlihan’s Restaurant has found a new home at Minneapolis-St. Paul International (MSP).
SSP America opened the full-service, pre-security eatery, near Security Checkpoint 1 in the ticketing lobby of the Lindbergh Terminal.
In addition to its popular menu offering Thai chile buffalo wings, mini martini flights and French-fried asparagus, the restaurant will have flat-screen monitors showing flight departure and arrival gate information.
“One of the most frequent requests we’ve received in recent years has been for an airport restaurant accessible to travelers and visitors alike,” said Jack Lanners, chairman of the Metropolitan Airports Commission. “With the opening of Houlihan’s, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport offers the perfect venue in which to see loved ones off, welcome home family members or meet friends catching a connecting flight. Houlihan’s is a welcomed new amenity and one more reason for travelers to make Minneapolis-St. Paul International their airport of choice.”
The 4,500-sq.-ft. restaurant features dark woods and bright colors, and is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Diners can sit at the walk-around bar, the patio area or the dining room.
“We are proud of our partnership with the Metropolitan Airports Commission as we create an enjoyable experience to those traveling through MSP,” said Les Cappetta, chief executive officer of SSP America. “The commission’s commitment to offering Twin Cities’ travelers the best in amenities and services, combined with SSP America’s dedication to providing the traveling consumer fresh, quality dining options, makes for an exciting collaboration.”
