Oklahoma City has hired Jeff Mulder as director of airports. He will manage the city’s three airports, Will Rogers World Airport (OKC), Wiley Post Airport (PWA) and Clarence E. Page Municipal Airport (RCE).
He replaces Mark Kranenburg, who retired in September after a 16-year run in the same role.
“Oklahoma City is a dynamic community with a strong aerospace sector and a great airport system that I am excited to be a part of going forward,” Mulder said.
City Manager Craig Freeman announced his selection as the new director of airports late last month. The move brings Mulder back to Oklahoma, where he was previously the airport director at Tulsa International Airport (TUL) from 2005 to 2016. He left there to become Executive Director of the Lee County Port Authority, which operates Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Page Field (FMY) from 2017 to 2019.
Most recently he had been a senior consultant for aviation services at Woolpert where he was doing infrastructure consulting for the aviation and utility sectors, strategic planning and asset management.
“He has an impressive track record in the aerospace industry and is committed to continuing the success and growth of our airports,” Freeman said.
Mulder was AXN’s Director of the Year in the small airports division in 2016 while at TUL.
