MWAA Announces 24 New Concessions

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) and Marketplace Development announced 24 new concessions that will begin the construction process at Reagan National Airport (DCA) and Dulles International Airport (IAD) in late 2023.

The food, beverage and retail brands, many with local ties, represent the latest awards of a multi-year concessions redevelopment program.

At DCA, a joint venture operating as MRG Washington DCA will open Neighborgoods DC gifts and souvenirs shop, Boss men’s and women’s apparel, DC Arts District Market, Inside the Beltway and Compass Coffee. The joint venture is comprised of Marshall Retail Group, Crosby Concessions Inc, Neighborgoods LLC and RC Enterprises LLC.

A Master ConcessionAir-led joint venture called DCA Airport Partners LLC will open Dos Toros Taqueria, Atlas Brew Works and Zeke’s Coffee. Other JV partners are Airport Retail Group LLC, Olympic Supply Inc and Canopy Hospitality Group LLC.

In addition, Crews DCA3 LLC will open Cava Mezze Grill, while Halfmoon Empanadas will open its first Washington DC location.

For IAD, HG DCA & IAD Concessionaires joint venture, made up of Hudson Group, The Jarvis Company LLC, Newburns Management Group LLC, will open two Hudson Nonstop locations, along with Hudson and Ink by Hudson. The group also won contracts to open Starbucks, Market 1962 and Brookstone.

Jackmont Hospitality LLC of DC, comprised of Jackmont Hospitality Inc, Trans-Air Concessions LLC, will open three food and beverage locations: Gatsby, Sfoglina and Rappahannock Oyster Company.

Also at IAD, Potbelly Airport Dulles IAD Joint Venture D, LLC (Potbelly Sandwich Works LLC, BMG Consulting Services LLC) will open a single Potbelly location. MEM Concessions LLC will open a Freshii, NY4 Pretzels will open an Auntie Anne’s and Crews IAD3 LLC won the contract to operate a Union Kitchen location.

“The brands selected will provide customers with a curated Washington region experience,” said Jaimini Erskine, MWAA vice president for marketing and concessions. “In this round, numerous proposals were submitted from operators who will bring local flavors and a greater variety of offerings for a memorable experience for our airport passengers.”
