New Concessions Coming To DEN

The Denver City Council’s Business, Workforce and Sustainability Committee approved seven new concessions contracts for Denver International.

“These new concessions, many of them local to Colorado, will give passengers a taste of Denver without leaving the airport,” said Kim Day, aviation manager for Denver International.  “We strive to balance local and national brands with our retail and dining options at DIA. This announcement is a great example of that effort, as well as our commitment to creating jobs and stoking the airport’s economic engine.”

The new concepts are:
– Elways – a restaurant founded by former Denver Bronco quarterback and the team’s current executive vice president of football operations John Elway featuring USDA hand cut prime steaks, fresh fish and more. The 3,000 sq. ft. restaurant will also have a full bar and an extensive wine selection.

– Udi’s Café© and Bar – the sixth location at the airport offers dishes such as salads, paninis, burgers and sandwiches made fresh with natural ingredients. Customers will be treated to a selection of beers on tap, 10 selections of absinthe and signature cocktails at the full service bar.

– Crú A Wine Bar – the wine bar features a broad and ever changing list of wines available by the bottle or by the glass as well as a menu of shared appetizers, individual sized gourmet pizzas, domestic cheeses, panini sandwiches and more.

– TAGS evolution – offers women’s jewlery, leather bags and fashion accessories such as watches and optical wear.  The DEN location will also showcase a complete line of private label leather goods.

– Tuleh Ruche – a woman’s clothing and accessories store that sells accessories, jewelry, organic fashion brands and travel essentials. The store will carry notable brands Vera Bradley, Swarovski, Elle, Michael Kors, Juicy Couture, Pandora, Spanx and more.

– Vino Volo – the wine bar offers a selection of Colorado, regional and international wines both by the glass and by the bottle.  A selection of gourmet plates and wine-related gift items are also available.

– XpresSpa – a full service spa offering a complete menu of relaxing services such as facials, massage and natural nail care. XpresSpa also carries a line of exclusive spa products and accessories.

DEN’s program consists of 167,457 sq. ft. of retail space that includes 140 concessions.  In 2010, the program generated over $243M in annual gross sales and over $43M in revenue to the airport.
