HMSHost and Louisville International Airport (SDF) have announced the newest stop on the Urban Bourbon Trail is SDF’s own Book & Bourbon Southern Kitchen. This move is part of Louisville Tourism and the Trail’s celebration of Bourbon Heritage Month (September), along with featured special events.
Becoming a stop on the Urban Bourbon Trail involves meeting certain criteria that determine to what degree a restaurant embraces and supports Kentucky’s bourbon culture. Essentially one large pub crawl, the Urban Bourbon Trail is a collection of designated bars and restaurants that participants can visit with “passports” and receive a stamp to prove their support of Kentucky’s bourbon heritage.
“Thanks in part to Bourbonism, our city is welcoming more than 16 million visitors annually, and with the addition Book & Bourbon Southern Kitchen to the Urban Bourbon Trail, it’s never been easier for guests to responsibly enjoy our native spirit,” said Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer.
Book & Bourbon is located in the upper level pre-security area of the airport which, for those taking the Urban Bourbon Trail, means easy access without having to go through security.
