The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) has named Ken Nichols to the position of vice president of engineering, responsible for strategic leadership, planning, coordination, and management of development projects and programs at Tucson International Airport (TUS) and Ryan Airfield (RYN).
Nichols previously was a senior product manager at the professional services firm DOWL. He has also worked on staff for Boise Airport (BOI), Juneau International Airport (JNU) and Snohomish County Airport -Paine Field (PAE), as well as more than 50 airports through consulting assignments.
“I’m excited to join the visionary executive team at Tucson Airport Authority as a series of legacy projects are implemented at both airports over the next several years,” Nichols said. “I was attracted by the organization’s clear mission, vision, strategic plan and governance structure.”
