Oktoberfest Zinzinnati To Kick Off At CVG

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International (CVG) has partnered with the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber to kick off the annual Oktoberfest Zinzinnati.

On Sept. 16 from noon to 2 p.m. at the airport’s Welcome Point in the lower level of the Terminal, the Pete Wagner Band will play traditional polka music and be served Bavarian pretzels.

“As the front door to the community, we’re excited to partner with the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber to welcome visitors to our region and kick off Oktoberfest 2016,” says Candace McGraw, CEO of CVG.

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is an event showcasing the German heritage of Cincinnati. The event was first held in 1976 and has grown to be North America’s largest Oktoberfest.

“As America’s Oktoberfest – a world-class event – we want to roll out a huge German welcome to greet our visitors,” says Rich Walburg, communications director for Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. “This is a fun way we’re highlighting Cincinnati’s history to travelers from all over the world.”
