Ontario International (ONT) has replaced the older lights in its airport parking garages and lots with next-generation LED lights that can both cut energy costs and provide a brighter, better environment for travelers.
The LED lighting solution from Riverside, CA-based SolarMax LED are more efficient and require less maintenance. Since their installation, ONT has noted a more than 60 percent savings on electricity, while the brighter lights and advanced light distribution is also boosting the sense of security for passengers.
SolarMax LED started the process by performing a comprehensive audit and data analysis of the existing lighting system in the Ontario Airport parking lots, followed by a turnkey customized lighting solution that covered everything from coordinated installation, permit processing, project management and commissioning.
“The upgrade has changed the customer’s experience of the airport,” says Willie Edwards, director of customer experience for Ontario International Airport Authority. “It really drives the loyalty of our customers.”
