Customers at Chicago O’Hare International (ORD) can now find a home-style meal at the airport. HMSHost has opened BJs Market & Bakery in Terminal 3.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and its menu has mustard fried catfish, seafood gumbo and smoked chicken. They can be paired with sides such as red beans and rice and candied sweet potatoes. Breakfast dishes include French toast, omelets and breakfast sandwiches; for dessert, there’s peach cobbler and banana pudding, among other things.
“BJs market provides O’Hare passengers with another exceptional dining option,” says Nuria I. Fernandez, Department of Aviation commissioner. “Thanks to this exciting new concept, the customers can enjoy the taste and comfort of home-style cooking while they travel.”
The first BJs opened on Chicago’s South Side in May 1997. There are now two Chicago locations, both locally owned and operated.
