The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA), Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) Airports and concessions partners celebrated the launch of four new concepts at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). Opening in Terminal 5, the new concessions include a 100% minority-operated Chick-fil-A through a joint venture between Marc Brooks of Chicago-based Hyde Park Hospitality and Ramona Hall of Florida-based Phillips Concessions; an outpost of health-focused Chicago brand Protein Bar & Kitchen operated by its owners and minority partners, Danon Garrett of D.C. Garrett Group and Miguel Cruz of BT Express Inc.; a new location of luxury apparel and accessories shop Gallery ORD operated by Dufry and its local minority partners Ralph Moore of RGMA and Melissa Ballate of Blue Daring; as well as a new Dunkin’/Baskin Robbins from local minority-owned and operated partners Faisal Poonja of ASAF Inc. and Kirit Patel of K&K Coffee LLC. CDA leaders stated that in opening Terminal 5’s latest concessions that ORD has now achieved 40% ACDBE participation in the terminal and 38% throughout the airport.

As we work to build a better O’Hare for our passengers, we look forward to many more celebrations that contribute to building overall wealth for Chicagoans of all backgrounds.”

ORD is in the process of a major concessions overhaul. The airport recently opened Terminal 5 concepts Bar Siena, The Hampton Social, Publican Quality Bread and Metropolis Coffee, announced plans to open additional Terminal 5 concessions Butcher and the Burger, The Dearborn, and Bronzeville Bar and Bites, and issued an RFP seeking 112 new concessions for Terminals 1 and 3.
