The Workforce Investment Boards in Hartford, Conn., and Springfield, Mass., are organizing a job fair for the airport area’s more than 100 businesses.
The event is part of an overall initiative to support the employment needs of the region’s expanding international airport.
Some of the participating employers are The Paradies Shops, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, and UPS.
Employment opportunities are primarily in the retail service sector and include maintenance, cashiers, mechanics and security.
The job fair will be in the foyer behind the Sheraton, between Terminals A and B, and free parking in Lot B is available for up to two hours.
