Oscar Meyer Ads Grace Baggage Carousels At ATL

A pilot advertising program at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL) is full of bologna.

As travelers wait for their baggage, ads for Oscar Meyer are seen going around the carousel. The advertisements, which are featured on nine carousels and on several large wall-mounted ads, are expected to bring in total revenue of $195,000 for the monthlong test period, slated to end within the next 10 days.

The airport plans public solicitation for a new advertising contract in the next few months.

“We are pleased to be part of this pilot,” says Al Snedeker, a spokesman for ATL.

Snedeker says there may be other advertisers that take advantage of the carousel venue, but none are planned at this time.
