Roderick McOwan has joined Pacific Gateway Concessions as executive vice president of business development.
McOwan brings more than 15 years of experience in the airport industry to his new job, including the past nine concentrating on the North American market.
“He has been successful both from a business development and brand development perspective, and is renowned for developing strong client relationships, which are the key strengths that are required to enable Pacific Gateway Concessions to get to the next level,” says Frank De La Cruz, a Pacific Gateway board member.
Before joining Pacific Gateway, McOwan was with SSP for about 10 years. In his new role, he will be responsible for expanding the company’s business in North America.
“It’s really utilizing my skill set and my knowledge bank in terms of relationships with the clients out there in the North American airports and building on that,” McOwan says. “And then we’re looking to obviously expand Pacific Gateway Concessions’ retail skills and knowledge and concepts, whether it’s news and gift or whether it’s specialty retail, and take the opportunities around the country and expand the size of the business.”
