ThunderCloud Subs and Ruta Maya, both operated by Paradies Lagardère, have opened near Gate 18 at Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS).
ThunderCloud sells sub sandwiches. The subs feature bread made and delivered daily by a local bakery. The restaurant slices its meats, cheeses and produce each day and makes spreads from scratch.
Ruta Maya is a coffee concept local to Austin. It imports 100-percent organic Arabica beans from Chiapas, Mexico.
“Paradies Lagardère tailors brands to entice travelers in a variety of ways, including bringing the familiar quality, taste and atmosphere of a favorite local dining spot into an airport,” says Bill Casey, senior vice president of food and beverage. “ThunderCloud Subs and Ruta Maya will not only appeal to locals coming through the airport but introduce a bit of what makes Austin special to visitors.”
