Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and concessionaire Paradies Lagardère are combining on a program to help fight hunger in the Edmonton area.
The program, which begins June 17, provides travelers, as well as airline and airport employees, the opportunity to buy and donate convenience foods, healthy snacks, beverages, and other items for donation.
The items will then be distributed by the Leduc & District Food Bank, which has supported those in the region facing food insecurity for more than three decades.
“Paradies Lagardère is excited to launch this partnership with Leduc & District Food Bank at the Edmonton International Airport,” says Gregg Paradies, president and CEO, Paradies Lagardère. “We believe that our community is not only coast to coast, but global as well. We’re always looking for new opportunities to make a positive and impactful difference in the lives of our employees, business partners and customers.”
