Paradies Lagardère has appointed David Bisset as its new executive vice president. At the end of the year he will become the company’s new chief development officer, succeeding Gerry Savaria, who will be stepping down after 33 years of service to the organization.
A New Zealand national, Bisset brings more than 20 years of experience across the Pacific, Asia, and the Middle East to his new role, most recently serving as a partner with a U.S.-based private equity firm focusing on American and Middle East-based investments, including in the aviation sector.
Bisset also worked with Lagardère Travel Retail for 10 years, holding many positions including CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail Middle East and executive general manager, Pacific. He has an extensive background in all three Lagardère business units – Retail, Dining, and Duty Free – with responsibilities covering business development, operations, buying, marketing, supply chain, and investment.
“I greatly appreciate Gerry’s partnership over the years as he has done an outstanding job leading the business development, marketing, and design and construction functions for our company,” said Gregg Paradies, president and CEO. “I look forward to continuing to work with Gerry in his new advisory role. In addition, I am very excited to have David join the organization as he brings a wealth of experience and will be a great cultural fit.”
