Paradies Lagardère Raises More Than $14,000 For Poppy Trust Fund

During November, Paradies Lagardère donated a part of its sales at 13 Canadian airports to the Royal Canadian Legion’s Poppy Trust Fund in honor of Remembrance Day.

Held on Nov. 11, Remembrance Day honors Canadian veterans. The Poppy Trust Fund provides financial assistance and support to veterans and their families. This includes covering food and heating costs, prescription medication, medical appliances and equipment, crucial home repairs and emergency shelter.

Between Nov. 10 and 11 the company raised more than $14,000 ($15,000 CAD) for the organization.

“Paradies Lagardère is thrilled with the results for the Remembrance Day initiative,” said Gregg Paradies, president and CEO. “It’s not only important to us to give back to the community, but we always seek ways to say thank you to service men and women and veterans throughout North America for their sacrifice. We’re proud of this program, along with our Treat Our Troops and Feed Our Troops programs in the U.S., and participation in the Leave No Veteran Behind Opportunity Fair.”
