Concessionaire Paradies Lagardère is teaming up with officials at Regina International Airport (YQR) in Saskatchewan to help fight hunger in the local community by enabling travelers, as well as airline and airport employees, to purchase and donate convenience foods, healthy snacks, beverages and other items, which will then be distributed by the Regina Food Bank.
The Regina Food Bank is a charitable community-based organization working to eliminate hunger and food insecurity through nutritious food distribution, education and support programs in partnership and cooperation with the community. With close to 90,000 requests for services annually, the Regina Food Bank provides services and support that address the complex, long-term issues that create hunger and food insecurity.
“We’re excited to partner with Regina International Airport and the Regina Food Bank to fight food insecurity,” says Gregg Paradies, president and CEO of Paradies Lagardère. “We’ve launched similar initiatives at the Edmonton International Airport, Calgary International Airport, the Saskatoon International, and Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport, and we’ve received great support for the program among travelers. We’re always looking for new opportunities to make a difference in the communities where we operate and positively impact the lives of our employees, business partners and customers.”
