Paradies Lagardère, YYC Join to Fight Hunger

Concessionaire Paradies Lagardère and Calgary International Airport (YYC) have joined forces on a new initiative to let travelers at the airport purchase and donate food to fight hunger in the Calgary area.

The new program, which began this month, lets passengers, airline employees and airport workers donate convenience foods, healthy snacks, beverages and other items to the Airdrie Food Bank.

The Airdrie Food Bank then distributes food to those in need and helps the Calgary community find solutions to hunger-related issues, including providing food hampers for individuals and families, as well as those in crisis; baby formula; nutritional meals for new moms; and school meal programs.

“Paradies Lagardère is excited to launch this partnership with Airdrie Food Bank at the Calgary International Airport,” says Gregg Paradies, president and CEO, Paradies Lagardère. “We believe that our community is not only coast to coast, but global as well. We’re always looking for new opportunities to make a positive and impactful difference in the lives of our employees, business partners and customers.”
