Paradies, Pacific Gateway Recommended At MSY

A selection committee has recommended to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY) that Paradies Lagardère and Pacific Gateway Concessions be selected to operate specialty retail stores and newsstands in the airport’s new terminal when it opens in 2019.

Pending approval, Paradies Lagardère and its local partners’ offerings would include New Orleans Advocate, Dylan’s Candy Bar, TripAdvisor, EJE Travel Retail, Tabasco Country Store, The Score Board apparel, InMotion Entertainment, Brother’s Food Mart and CNBC stores, along with a space that combines TripAdvisor, NOLA Couture, Spanx and Brighton, according to documents provided by the city.

Pacific Gateway and its partners proposed offerings that include a hybrid retail and performance space affiliated with the city’s iconic Preservation Hall.

Other brands in the proposal include Hattie Sparks, Lolli and Pops, Pulp and Grind juice and coffee brand Crescent City Provisions.

The recommendations are subject to the approval of the airport’s board and the New Orleans City Council. The board meets next Thursday. City council approval is probably a couple months off, says Michelle Wilcut, airport spokeswoman.

Delaware North and its joint venture partner, Chase Catering and Concessions LLP, and HMSHost Corp. and its partners Coaxum Enterprises, Kaleidoscope and Lucky Dogs, were announced as the airport’s incoming food and beverage partners earlier this year.
