Paradies To Venture Into Food, Beverage Operations At AVL

The Paradies Shops has been selected to operate the food, beverage, news and gift store at Asheville Regional (AVL).

It will be the first time the company includes a full food and beverage service in its offerings; it is slated to begin operations March 1.

“The Paradies Shops is excited to partner with the Asheville Regional Airport to deliver a full-service concessions program for Asheville travelers,” says Gregg Paradies, president and CEO of The Paradies Shops. “We are pleased to offer stores that will reflect the beauty and flavors of the region, while also offering exposure to popular national brands.”

New concessions will include a pre-security TravelMart, which could feature Bruegger’s Bagels or Dunkin’ Donuts, and a post-security CNBC retail shop; there will also be a post-security restaurant with a full-service bar and regional microbrews.

“I have had more than 20 years of experience with The Paradies Shops throughout my career and am very excited to bring this outstanding company into our airport,” says Airport Director Lew Bleiweis. “Their reputation for customer service aligns perfectly with our goals and will elevate the passenger experience in Asheville.”
