The Port of Portland Commission signed 10-year leases Wednesday for 11 shops and restaurants that will open in early 2015 as the first phase of a refreshing of the concessions program at Portland International (PDX) that will take place over the next three years.
The award-winning program at PDX is based heavily upon offering a combination of the Northwest while also including several popular national brands. The 11 new food and retail venues fit that mix.
“We welcome these exciting new shops and restaurants to our airport family,” says Chris Czarnecki, general manager of aviation business and properties with the port. “We searched far and wide to bring these great options to our travelers, speaking to some 250 individuals interested in operating at PDX.”
The new brands will be:
• Bambuza Vietnam Kitchen – Local Vietnamese grill noodle bowls, rice plates, salad rolls, Pho noodle soups, Banh Mi sandwiches, Vietnamese coffee and bubble tea
• Cafe Yumm! – Regional foods featuring bowls, wraps, salads and a selection of vegan and gluten-free offerings
