After 20 years as director of marketing for the Port of Huntsville, Barbie Patterson Peek has been hired by the organization as its director of business development.
Peek’s responsibilities in the newly developed position will include leading and directing all business development efforts for the port’s entities: Huntsville International (HSV), the International Intermodal Center and the Jetplex Industrial Park.
“Barbie is a very talented senior marketing professional who has lead the direction and execution of our air service development program for many years,” says Carl Gessler Jr., chairman of the Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority. “She has done an exceptional job overseeing the marketing and public relations activities for Port of Huntsville including building strategic alliances and maintaining the Regional Partnership program.”
