Coffee retailer Starbucks has landed space at Philadelphia International (PHL).
With a grand opening event Monday, the first Starbucks at PHL opened on the B/C Connector across from the food court.
“Starbucks is an American institution,” says Mark Gale, airport director. “It is one of the few brands that strikes instant recognition in people everywhere, and its reputation is renowned for great coffee, good food and a friendly place to hang out.”
The design of this store will pay homage to traditional Victorian architecture. HMSHost Corp. will operate the Starbucks. The company partnered with MarketPlace Philadelphia Management, which runs concessions at PHL. Officials from both companies, the airport and the city were on hand for the event.
