Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) has become the latest U.S. airport to add the “WhereWeFly” digital tool to its homepage, to provide travelers with an interactive route map of all the airport’s direct connections.
PHL joins George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and William Hobby (HOU) airports in Houston, Albany International Airport (ALB) and Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) as partners with WhereWeFly.
The WhereWeFly widget is located in the center of the PHL.org homepage and visitors can search by destination, airline and activity such as visiting a beach. The tool showcase routes and destinations in a 3D map with a searchable directory with the to explore destinations with immersive video guides that each traveler can personalize.
“We are excited to offer WhereWeFly to our passengers,” said Megan O’Connell, PHL director of marketing and branding. “We are often asked from our website visitors where airlines fly nonstop from PHL. While we can point guests to a spider map with names of destinations, the map is not searchable, and guests need to leave the PHL website to learn about potential destinations and then book travel. WhereWeFly puts all aspects of travel planning in one place, which will be a benefit for the airport and our airline partners.”
