Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) has installed its first Mamava lactation suite. Located post-security in Terminal F, the lactation suite is a private, moveable 4-foot-by-8-foot pod that mothers can use free of charge.
Each Mamava lactation suite includes benches, a fold-down table, an electrical outlet and a lockable door. The suites are accessible through the Mamava app, which helps users locate the pods and can unlock vacant pods via bluetooth technology.
“We are proud to provide another place where traveling mothers can breastfeed and pump milk for their children,” says Chellie Cameron, CEO of PHL. “The purpose of this pod is to offer a clean, comfortable and stress-free environment for this special group of passengers.”
