PHX Names Two New Assistant Aviation Directors

Phoenix Sky Harbor International (PHX) has named Charlene Reynolds and Sarah Demory as assistant aviation directors.

Charlene Reynolds is moving into the role of assistant aviation director after serving as deputy aviation director, contracts and services for the city of Phoenix. In the newly appointed role, Reynolds will oversee business and properties, contracts and services as well as design.

“We are fortunate to have an executive with Charlene’s experience and expertise in contract management, procurements and project management on our aviation team,” said Jim Bennett, director of aviation services. “Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is in the midst of a major capital improvement program and having a leader with her depth of knowledge will benefit us well into the future.”

Bringing more than 15 years of airport operations experience to the table, Sarah Demory will also join PHX as assistant aviation director. Demory has held positions in operations and emergency management at Seattle-Tacoma International (SEA). She has experience managing both airside and landside airport operations. She will oversee the operations, public safety and security, facilities and service divisions, along with Phoenix Deer Valley (DVT) and Phoenix Goodyear (GYR).

“I am excited to build an executive management team with such a wealth of diverse experience,” Bennett said. “With new international air service and increasing local passenger demand, it is vital that the Phoenix Aviation Department has executives like Sarah leading the way. Her experience in airport operations and emergency management provide the expertise that we need to complete our executive team and guide us into the future.”
