Plaza Premium Group this month opened its first Plaza Premium Lounge in the U.S. at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
Formally opened September 1, the DFW common-use lounge is the company’s 18th location in the Americas, including Plaza Premium Lounges in Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg in Canada, and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
“U.S.A. market is always part of our strategic plan to expand in the Americas,” said Song Hoi-see, founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Group. “We have been communicating with DFW Airport while our team worked to ensure the new hygiene protocols [are] in place when we are ready to open. This is certainly a good time to introduce our Skytrax-winning Plaza Premium Lounge experience to travelers as the airport’s domestic traffic resuming steadily since April.”
Located near Gate E31, the Plaza Premium 1,400-square-foot lounge features WiFi, lounge chairs and dining seating, charging pods. The AeroBar offers wines, liquors and beers, including local brands with the likes of Shiner and Dallas Blonde, or Italian Lavazza coffee. As part of heightened hygienic measures, pre-portioned and pre-packaged food items are offered at the self-serve counters.
“At DFW Airport, our focus on the customer continues to drive our business strategies, programs, enhancements and partnerships,” said Ken Buchanan, executive VP of customer experience and revenue management of DFW. “We welcome partnering with Plaza Premium Group because their hospitality services are highly respected. We are confident the Plaza Premium Lounge will be a popular destination in Terminal E.”
Plaza Premium Group had already introduced its ALLWAYS meet and greet services at DFW last year.
