A power outage at the Los Angeles Air Route Traffic Control Center in Palmdale caused massive delays at Los Angeles International and other Southern California airports Tuesday evening. The 90-minute outage affected 90 departing flights and 40 arriving flights at LAX, as well as 50 flights at Ontario International. Separately, power outages disrupted air traffic at LaGuardia Airport Tuesday morning. Several terminals at LaGuardia were without power for much of the day, causing problems for Delta Air Lines and American Airlines, reports said.
