Principato To Become President And CEO Of National Aeronautic Association

Greg Principato, current president of the National Association of State Aviation Officials, will take on the same role with the National Aeronautic Association, effective October 20.

The NAA is a nonprofit membership organization that fosters opportunities to participate in and promotes public understanding of the importance of aviation and space flight to the U.S.

Principato will replace Jonathan Gaffney, who has been president and CEO since 2007.

“The National Aeronautic Association has always played an important role in telling the amazing story of aviation, and in showing the way to even greater achievement,” he says. “It is truly an honor to be selected to lead this important organization.”

Prior to joining NASAO, Principato was president and CEO of Airports Council International – North America and executive director of the National Commission to Ensure a Strong Competitive Airline Industry.

“Greg brings great national experience and expertise in aviation to the position,” says Jim Albaugh, chairman of NAA. “The board looks forward to working with him.”
