Today, Port of Seattle revealed some of the updates Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) guests can expect to see in the Central Terminal currently under renovation. Partial openings are scheduled to begin in 2019, and the entire renovation will cost nearly $17 million and add 10,000 square feet of dining and seating space.
“From amazing views to Pacific Northwest menus, our renovated Central Terminal takes the passenger experience to the next level,” said Lance Lyttle, managing director of Sea-Tac Airport. “We are thrilled that our new Central Terminal will offer passengers a high-quality and memorable experience you can’t get anywhere except at Sea-Tac Airport.”
Five restaurants will open on the south side of the terminal by spring of next year, including fast-casual Asian eatery Pei Wei, celebrity chef Kathy Casey’s Lucky Louie seafood, Italian-American Pallino’s, Evergreens custom salad maker, and Koi Shi Sushi Bento, a Japanese dining concept.
These will be joined in summer 2020 by The Mariners Homeplate & Dugout Bar, a full-service American concept themed around the local MLB team, and Salty’s at the SEA and BrewTop Social, a full-service seafood restaurant that also boasts an open-air bar. The bar will host a stage for Sea-Tac’s live music program.Ten other food and beverage concepts will be calling the Central Terminal home by the end of next year, and more information is available online.
